The Asian Golden Weaver (Ploceus hypoxanthus) is found in Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam. This weaver is threatened by habitat loss. Its preferred habitat are the subtropical or tropical seasonally wet or flooded lowland grassland, swamps and arable land areas.
