Warning about Birds of Prey and other predators ...

Please understand that considerable risk is associated with your allowing your pet to remain outside unsupervised. BIrds of prey and other predators will seek opportunities to get to your unprotected pets. I have heard of bird owners watching their pets being snatched right off the patio -- in front of them!

Your pet should always be with you when outside. On your arm, preferably, and always keep watch for dangers. In one case, a cockatiel owner found herself protecting her pet from a hawk that tried to get the cockatiel right off her shoulder. She was able to protect her pet by covering it with her arms and hands - and yet the hawk still tried to get it from there!

It is important to understand the risks associated with taking your pet outside.
