Anna's Hummingbirds (Calypte anna)

The Bahama Woodstar (Calliphlox evelynae): a species of hummingbird. The Bahama Woodstar is a medium-sized hummingbird, growing to be about 3 to 5 inches in length. They are green above with mixed olive-buff underparts. A reddish-pink throat is lined by a white collar. The Bahama Woodstar is common to the Bahama Islands. They inhabit areas of scrubby and low growth vegetation. Nesting is done in a small cup made of plant down, bark and cobwebs. The female lays 2 elliptical white eggs, which will incubate for 15-18 days.

Giant Hummingbird (Patagona gigas): the largest member of the hummingbird family, weighing 18-20 g (6/10 - 7/10 of an ounce). It measures eight and a half inches in length (~23cm), which is about the length of a starling or an American catbird. It is the only member of the genus Patagona. The Giant Hummingbird is found between 2,000 and 3,500 meters (6,500-11,000 feet) above sea level in the Andes of South America, from northern Ecuador to central Chile and Argentina.
