The Madagascar Sparrowhawk (Accipiter madagascariensis) is a bird of prey that is endemic to Madagascar, where it inhabits subtropical or tropical dry, moist lowland and moist montane forests, as well as dry savanna and subtropical or tropical dry shrubland. This species is threatened by habitat loss.
The Madagascar Sparrowhawk may form a superspecies with the Eurasian Sparrowhawk (Accipiter nisus) and the Rufous-chested Sparrowhawk (Accipiter rufiventris) (Ferguson-Lees and Christie 2001).
