The Polynesian Storm-petrels (Nesofregetta fuliginosa) occur naturally in Chile, French Polynesia, Kiribati, New Caledonia and Vanuatu.
Populations of them may also exist in American Samoa, Fiji, and Samoa.
They are usually found on open seas, along rocky or sandy shores.
This species is threatened by introduced predators.
