The White-capped Tanagers (Sericossypha albocristata) average 24 cm in length and weigh about 114 g.
Distribution & Habitat:
These tanagers occur in Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador and Peru at elevations of 1600–3200 m. They prefer humid forests where they live in groups of up to 20 individuals.
Diet:
The White-capped Tanager eats fruits, seeds, hymenoptera, and coleoptera.
